My last entry listed my three goals for our Disney World trip. I am happy to say that we accomplished all three.
Our vacation was incredible. If you ever happen to be in the position where you have a kid in a wheelchair and you want said kid to feel really special for a week, go to Disney. The Disney folks went out of their way to make sure Gareth had an unforgettable experience, and so much of WDW is wheelchair accessible (including many rides). A+++, would go again.
I saw Rydain in the office today. I didn’t want to bug her since she was in to talk to some people, but then I heard her yell “Hey Sin!” from the conference room she was in.
So far, nobody has asked me what “Sin” means, so either she explained it or they would rather not know.
That’s awesome! =)
Just give that to your coworkers.
She thought the interview went well, she couldn’t stop talking about it afterwards.
Eeeeexcellent. Disney World is win.
And I internally D’ohed after realizing I’d addressed you via your handle out loud in front of a bunch of non-FITH folk. It just felt like the most natural thing to say. Nobody asked me about it, either - they probably assumed it was a nickname and left it at that. They had plenty more questions for me. I brought a bunch of my own, but there wasn’t time for all of them. Both of the group interviews ran out the clock, and then I kept Matt late talking about areas that the database group could use experience in. (He mentioned XML and UI design, and I am VERY well-versed in both.)
More to come when I’m more awake. Between adrenaline ebbing and a big lunch, I conked out for a few hours after I got home.
